Founded in 1957 by Herwig Wallmann in Hohenems, Austria, Wallmann Textil began with a single sewing machine and a vision for exclusive, high-quality blouses. Today, under the creative direction of René Schedler since 2008, the brand remains rooted in its Vorarlberg headquarters, where design, prototyping, and quality control are still managed in-house. Wallmann is celebrated for its mastery of traditional Austrian Trachten (folkloristic clothing), particularly its signature dirndl blouses, tailored linen shirts, and classic knitwear.
