Founded in 2020 in Paris by Norwegian knitwear designer Siri Johansen and manufacturer Sebastien Maes, Waste Yarn Project was born from a desire to repurpose the fashion industry's surplus materials. Johansen, a former designer at Burberry and Kenzo, witnessed the accumulation of discarded yarns and developed a system to transform them into unique, genderless garments.
