Founded in 2025 in Bali, Indonesia, Wasted by Potato Head is a circular design initiative born from the renowned regenerative hospitality brand Desa Potato Head. Developed in collaboration with British designer Max Lamb, the brand operates as an open-source blueprint for sustainable production, transforming local waste streams into purposeful, handcrafted objects. Wasted’s core offerings encompass sculptural furniture, textured homeware, and relaxed apparel, all defined by an experimental, material-led aesthetic. The brand utilizes eight distinct material families—including recycled HDPE plastics, broken glassware, compost-dyed linens, and used cooking oil—to create pieces like marbled plastic chairs, hand-blown glass vessels, and plant-dyed textiles. Because the designs are dictated by the specific waste available, each object is entirely unique, celebrating the inherent visual character of discarded matter.
