The brand’s origin story stems from its founder's frustrating experience with an expensive woolen coat that failed in a November storm, sparking the mission to build something better. Welter Shelter merges traditional, high-quality fabrics like Italian cottons and Scottish wool blends with advanced technology, including a signature three-layer waterproof and breathable membrane. This creates jackets that offer serious protection from the elements while maintaining a clean, urban aesthetic.\n\nThe core of their design is the use of Meida® insulation, a thin, lightweight, and environmentally friendly alternative to down that provides exceptional warmth without adding bulk. This allows for slim, modern silhouettes suitable for daily city life. The brand caters to both men and women, with a focus on timeless, durable pieces that support a “slow consumerism” approach. Production takes place in a family-owned factory in Poland, reflecting a commitment to quality craftsmanship and ethical manufacturing.
