YSSO is a London and Athens-based jewelry label founded in 2019 by the mother-daughter duo, Stalo and Alexia Karides. The brand’s name is a reimagining of “chrysso,” the Greek word for gold, reflecting its deep connection to Hellenic culture and aesthetics. Stalo, an archaeologist and art historian with over 30 years of experience in jewelry making, provides a rich historical context to the designs, while Alexia, a former corporate lawyer, brings a modern creative direction. This blend of perspectives results in sculptural, organic, and often asymmetrical pieces that feel both ancient and contemporary.
