Founded in 2017 by Edgar Garrido and Stephanie Bezarra in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, Tiempo de Zafra is an upcycling atelier and artist collective that transforms textile waste into bold, custom garments. Garrido, who learned tailoring from his grandfather and honed his skills in New York, returned to the Dominican Republic to address the massive influx of discarded clothing, known locally as pacas. The brand operates on a made-to-order model, sourcing pre-consumer excess from local tailors and post-consumer goods from secondhand markets.
