## Description

The tweed look here comes out of the yarn rather than the weave. Flecks of contrasting fiber are spun into the alpaca and wool before anything is knit, the same trick behind Donegal yarns from the west of Ireland, and once the yarn runs through the machine those flecks surface as small tufts of color scattered across the umber ground. Look closely and the whole surface is speckled. Step back and it reads as a single warm, depth-filled brown. The shape takes its cues from vintage knitwear: a boxy body, a hem that stops short, shoulders dropped past the natural line, and a v-neck opening cut a little lower than usual. Chunky ribbing runs the cuffs, the hem, and a 1.5" collar, giving the sweater enough structure at its edges to hold that boxy line rather than slumping.
