Two of the three pieces in this suite were composed by Johann Pezel (1639-1694), the most prolific stadtpfeifer composer in history. Percy Hall has combined these three short pieces into one delightful work for string orchestra that provides an energetic opener, a lyrical second movement, and a spirited closing.
