Background: CHITO has become known for his customization work on outerwear specifically, painting characters on the backs of Gore-Tex jackets and accentuating the lines and details on down pieces. His work first became known to Creative Director, Taka Kasuga after seeing his treatments to Arc'teryx products a few years prior. This project strays from the minimalism that Veilance is typically known for, which Kasuga notes is an opportunity to play with expression and expand the visual language. "Veilance designs are primarily focused on freedom of movement and removing limitations in daily living. CHITO's work allows us to layer on freedom of expression in a way that doesn't hinder the performative intent of the product."  -CHITO has painted 55 unique pieces, using the Arris Jacket, Field LT Jacket, Demlo Overshirt, and Seque Tote as his base.
