The Goya Comb reimagines the peineta, the historic Spanish hair comb once worn with a mantilla by Goya’s majas, as a sculptural two-pronged piece topped with three onyx spheres. Cast in tortoise shell cellulose acetate, the spheres, graduated from a larger center bead to two smaller ones on either side, are set in brass. Part of the FOLKLORE Collection, it shares the same peineta spirit as the Folklore Comb, reimagined here in tortoise shell acetate with onyx set in brass.
