For the next generation of Best Made snap-fronts, we started with a traditional rope-dyed 8 oz Japanese indigo denim woven in Fukuyama City, Hiroshima by a fully vertical mill whose indigo-dyeing techniques have been refined for more than a century. The result is a material with an exceptional combination of depth of color, softness, and durability. Too much detail in a snap-front western, and it can quickly become costume. Not enough, and it loses its flair. The subtle single point yokes, clean pocket design, and matte black resin snaps in brass settings make this suitably restrained. The shirt is topped by a brass concha button with hand-soldered wire eye shank at the collar and finished with our Cuff-to-Elbow-Tuff reinforcements. The Fukuyama Snap-Front strikes the elusive balance between shirt and overshirt: substantial enough to throw on as a layer, light enough to tuck in and wear all day. Cut and sewn in Portugal, this garment is built for long-term, versatile wear.
