The fabric is woven at a 75-year-old mill in Osaka, then indigo dyed in Fukuyama City. This time-honored indigo-dying process creates a color like none-other. Natural fading makes each shirt a true one-of-a-kind (see care instructions for a special note on "crocking"). What also sets this garment apart is the high-density weave, creating a moleskin that's more resilient and structured than every moleskin we've ever felt. Cut and sewn in Portugal, the shirt features triple-needle stitching at the shoulders, armholes, and side seams—strength where strain is greatest. Elbows are reinforced with our trademark cuff-to-elbow-tuff patches. The front pockets are backed with self-fabric for added durability, and natural corozo buttons complete the construction.
