Its active ingredients help prevent the skin from drying out, in particular for the mature skin which is prone to severe dehydration. Its unctuous texture provides a true moment of comfort and leaves a nourishing veil on the skin. The skin is hydrated, supple and soothed of its sensations of tightness. When the skin suffers from a lipid deficit in the horny layer and a significant drop in water content, the hydrolipidic film is altered. It no longer fulfills its natural protective role: the skin becomes dry and loses its elasticity. It is also more vulnerable to physical, chemical, or microbial pathogens. To defend itself, it triggers an inflammatory reaction which can cause redness, itching, tightness, or irritation.
