## Summary

Hand-turned spalted beech wood cake stand set featuring a raised pedestal platter and a matching cake server, showcasing natural wood grain and organic patterns.

## Description

Each creation from Bird & Branch is handmade from a single piece of wood by husband-and-wife team Adam and Mercedes in their London-based workshop. Only at ABASK, the material of choice for its newest collection of platters, trays and bowls is spalted beech wood. The pattern has been formed as the logs are broken down by fungus—then, once dried, the process stops, and the wood becomes workable. Once ready, it’s hand-shaped and turned to last a lifetime, becoming the perfect server for a host of different foods, such as fruits and vegetables.
