This kaftan is inspired by a beaded dress from the 1920s, which was beaded with patterns in the Egyptian Revival style, an aesthetic trend popular in America throughout the nineteenth and into the twentieth century. 1920s. "Egyptomania" was fanned by archaeological discoveries throughout the decade, especially of the tomb of Tutankhamun in 1922. We reproduced the beaded geometric patterns on silk crepe for this style, which took 60 hours of hand-beading to complete. These are for reference of your body measurements.
