One of the defining chairs of the 20th century is now made for life outside. The LC Outdoor Lounge Chair (2019) adapts the iconic LC3 (1928) in stainless steel with a textured finish and water-repellent cushions for all-weather durability – the original structure and logic, reconsidered for open air. Designed by Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret, and Charlotte Perriand, the LC3 introduced a still-radical idea: frame on the outside, a steel cage holding cushions within rather than beneath. With proper care, this outdoor version, developed by Cassina with Pernette Perriand and the Fondation Le Corbusier, is just as enduring. Made in Italy.
