## Description

A historic season for Watford who reached the FA Cup final for the first time in the club’s history. Curiously their toughest fixture came early on in the Third Round when it took two hard fought games to overcome near rivals Luton Town.

A George Reilly goal settled the tie taking Watford to Wembley and a final against Everton. John Barnes, Les Taylor and Mo Johnston all had chances, but it was the Merseyside outfit that ultimately triumphed 2-0.
