The iconic Royal System® shelving (1948) was Danish designer Poul Cadovius’s elegant, innovative solution to heavy furniture that he felt took up too much floor space. One of the first wall-mounted storage systems, it was designed to move furniture off the floor and onto the walls, bringing in more space and light. Reintroduced in 2010, the 1-Bay version of this versatile, enduring system consists of four wooden shelves held by slender metal brackets. If you are adding onto an existing Royal System shelving unit, choose the Extension version.
