## Description

VIBRANT VINTAGE PAIR BY SOUGHT AFTER ARTISANS. This impossible-to-ignore bolo and buckle combo was crafted by renowned Zuni husband and wife, Helen and Lincoln Zunie; their work is highly coveted and collectible. The belt is a black vintage leather strap adorned with a statement buckle boasting an impressive Appaloosa horse head made with jet, turquoise, shell, mother of pearl, and coral, set in heavy silver. The artists added dimensionality with silver details. The complementing bolo features a matching horse head of similar stone and silver composition on a classic braided cord with ornate sterling silver aiguillettes accented by tiny squash blossom dangles. Lincoln Zunie (1938-1983, Zuni). Active 1960s-1970s. Channel inlay; figural inlay, often horse or cow motifs.  Father of Patty Zunie Edaakie. Brother of Joe and William Zunie.
