A limited run of only 40 totes, built with thick Orion Suede from Chicago's Horween Leather Company, experts in tanning since 1905. The roughout side faces outward across the body, giving the bag its rich, textured surface. On the bottom, the leather is reversed smooth-side out for resistance to wear and stains. Bridle Leather handles are secured with brass D-rings that allow them to lie flat against the sides when not in use. Inside, stow pockets at both ends keep smaller essentials separated from the main compartment while leaving the center open for larger gear. Made in a run of just 40, with each one individually numbered, this is a substantial leather tote designed to gain character with years of carrying. Deep-dyed suede leather can exhibit dye transfer. Known as crocking, this is a normal characteristic of deeply dyed leather rather than a flaw. Care should be taken to avoid color transfer, particularly when carrying the bag against light-colored fabrics.
