The No. 23 fragrance is rooted in the perfumer’s nostalgia for the weathered shipyard where he would spend days with his metalsmith father. The smoky, leathery scent is enlivened with black pepper and crisp notes of seaweed and salt, for a blend that speaks to the pristine nature in the Nordic region. Each fragrance is handcrafted with sustainable scent molecules, wild herbs, and Icelandic oils, and comes wrapped in a cotton bandana with illustrations by Jónsi’s sister, Ingibjörg. Top: Bergamot, black pepper, licorice Heart: Cypress, Siberian fir Base: Birch tar, amber gris, patchouli
