Ever since our Head Designer, Nick Kemp, flipped through Japanese vintage clothing magazines early in his career, he’s been inspired by the idea of wabi-sabi—finding beauty in simplicity, and honoring the imperfections that come with age.   That’s exactly what’s captured in this sweatshirt. It’s a small-batch study in tradition, knit on vintage loopwheel machines that rely on gravity rather than tension to produce a fabric that refuses to lose its shape. Made in Japan from start to finish, it features heavyweight 20.8oz loopback terry that’s been hand-dipped in natural indigo. Because of this artisanal process, no two garments are exactly alike. It’s a rugged, intentional layer built to honor the "perfect imperfections" of archival sportswear, designed to develop a personalized patina that only deepens over time.
