## Summary

Illustrated children's board book titled 'My First Root Children' by Sibylle von Olfers, featuring colorful nature-themed illustrations of root children.

## Description

First published in 1906, The Story of the Root Children by Sibylle von Olfers is a beloved classic among Waldorf educators and families, illustrating the rhythmic cycles of the natural seasons. During winter the Root Children live deep underground, cared for by loving Mother Earth. When Spring arrives, the children busy themselves preparing for the new season. In the warm Summer sunlight they play outside, in the fields and by a stream. When Autumn returns, the Root Children retire into their underground home to sleep through the cold Winter. This board book version of the original classic features simplified language for a younger audience and sturdy cardboard pages, perfect for small fingers. The gorgeous color illustrations have been adapted to fit the new format.
