When designing the After Series Armchair (2025) for Fritz Hansen, Michael Anastassiades conceived it as a stack of layers: the precisely curved backrest rests atop squared legs that support a scooped seat. The result is an exacting interplay – down to the millimeter – of geometry and craftsmanship achieved through traditional cabinetmaking techniques. Cypriot-born, London-based Anastassiades distills diverse references into "pure, simple structures," creating works "characterised by a poetic yet rigorous interpretation of technology, materials, and functions." Made in Germany.
