Four armless chairs slide fully under the 40 inch round tabletop, which is what makes this set workable in a room where a rectangular table would block the path. A lower shelf on the table holds serving dishes and placemats, and ventilated chair backs with reinforced bars keep seating comfortable through a long meal. Adjustable foot pads settle every leg on uneven flooring.
