## Description

This early 1960s Datejust may look like any ordinary silver-dial variant, but these early models are sometimes optioned with a “bamboo” bezel, which makes them truly unique. The variation here features three lines of hash marks around the hour indices on the outer steel bezel, as opposed to the more traditional fluted and steel engine-turned variants. On the dial, claw-pointed markers and Dauphine hands make this piece stand out from other vintage Datejusts of this era.   The 36mm case on the 16xx series of Datejusts is one of our favorite picks for a quiet everyday watch. It might not scream adventure in the same way a Rolex Submariner would, but it occupies a rare space of subtle elegance.
