The Zodiac Sea Wolf was first introduced in 1953 and directly competed with Rolex’s dive watch, the Submariner, which debuted a year later. The specific Sea Wolf model seen here was purchased from the original owner, who bought it in 1970. Clearly, the Rolex Submariner won out, but the Sea Wolf is a sleeper of a watch and well respected in the watch community. At 35.5mm, this piece showcases another watch manufacturer’s take on diver watches with a bit of ’70s flair. The dial was originally black, however, this variant has changed to a beautiful tropical brown and pairs perfectly with the faint blue bezel.
