Inspired by the U.S. Navy deck jackets of the 1940s, this version retains the classic N1 shape but swaps the heavy wool insulation for a lighter, water-resistant Japanese Ventile cotton lining. The outer shell is cut from a tough 12oz Japanese whipcord woven with hard-twisted yarns for exceptional durability. Unlike the traditional reactive-dyed whipcord used in Iron Heart’s standard N1, this version is sulphur-dyed, meaning the fabric will gradually fade and develop character with wear and washing. The corduroy-lined collar, cuffs, and pockets add texture and warmth, while the two-way YKK zipper, paracord-adjustable hem, and button cinches at the cuffs ensure a tailored, functional fit.
