This season’s version features a timeless check pattern, presented here in the western cut with a black/indigo colorway. Slowly woven to enhance both heft and texture, the darkest yarns are indigo-dyed, while the lighter shades undergo sulfur cheese-dyeing, ensuring natural fading over time. With only four shuttle looms in Japan capable of executing this intricate weave - requiring a mid-weave weft yarn switch - these SS25 flannels stand among the most unique Japanese-made offerings of the season. To distinguish this colorway from pure indigo variations, it is referred to as “black.” However, in person, the dominant hue appears as a deep indigo, gradually lightening with wear and washing.
