## Summary

Handcrafted marquetry wood chess and backgammon compendium featuring modernist geometric pieces and a contrasting teal and brown checkered board set in a wooden case.

## Description

Kevin Stamper’s pieces showcase not only his woodworking and marquetry capabilities but his artistic sensibilities too. The Worcestershire-based maker has long felt an affinity for Modernist art, and veers between drawing inspiration directly from the movement’s masters and creating a personal aesthetic derived from his own modern times—chiefly today’s ever-expanding digital landscape. This games compendium leans toward the latter, with playing-grid squares that evoke the graphics of early computer games.
