The Avio Sofa (2016), by Italian designer Piero Lissoni for Knoll, skillfully balances volume and visual lightness. The seating’s generous, sheltering cushions contrast with slender steel frames, creating beautifully proportioned, welcoming forms. Lissoni’s innovative modular seating system is relaxed yet elegant, juxtaposing deep comfort with modern lightness. The Avio Sofa is also incredibly durable, with a steel beam at its core that acts as a spine for the sofa, with each seat attached directly to the beam. This is a sofa everyone will gravitate to and vie to sit in its deep, cozy corners. Made in Italy.
