With its striking, hand-carved scallop detailing, the Lesire Side Table (2024) by Botswana-based designer Peter Mabeo celebrates the richness of African craft and the expertise of its artisans. Exclusive to DWR, the side table is crafted from durable, richly grained panga panga wood that is sustainably sourced from a forestry stewardship organization in Mozambique. It’s available in two sizes, low and high, which can be paired together or elegantly stand alone. Lesire’s signature scalloped edges pay homage to crochet techniques mastered by South African women. Translated into variegated hardwood, the scalloped edging creates a subtly detailed piece that will add richness and depth to any living space. Made in Botswana.
