Somewhere between a Murano fever dream and a specimen jar, the Fishpool Decanter turns the ritual of pouring wine into something closer to tending an aquarium. Massimo Lunardon, working out of the Veneto's glassblowing lineage, gives the vessel a bulbous, finned body dotted in amber and ochre, with a pair of cobalt eyes that lend it the deadpan gaze of a Wunderkammer curiosity. The elongated neck and coral-red lip nod to more traditional decanter forms, a moment of composure before the whole thing tips into whimsy.
