## Summary

18k solid yellow gold necklace featuring a glass intaglio seal pendant engraved with a sitting dog and Italian motto, secured in a full bezel setting on a rolo chain.

## Description

Glass intaglio seal measures 20mm long, 15mm wide and 4mm deep Seal is engraved in mirror-image and depicts a sitting dog with Italian motto "Come questo", which roughly translates to "Like this" indicating loyalty Seal secured in full bezel setting Rolo chain measures 20" long and 2.4mm wide, with extension for wear at 18" Necklace fastened with lobster claw clasp Pendant necklace style set by hand in 18k solid yellow gold On The Design Story: We were captivated by the beauty and mystery of this antique rotating wheel containing 16 doublets, each composed of an engraved glass intaglio bonded to glass with a layer of colored adhesive, likely used as wax seals. Because seals are used to make impressions, each intaglio is engraved with a design and inscription in reverse. We took them out of their original settings, carefully separated them, and now invite our clients to reimagine these intaglio seals as talismans imbued with new meaning.
