The Naked & Famous Black Sugiaya is a 12oz Japanese herringbone twill built from 100% cotton, woven in a classic herringbone structure that delivers subtle visual texture through its distinctive V-shaped pattern. After weaving, the fabric is carefully rinsed, a process that gently plumps the cloth, enhances the three-dimensional depth of the herringbone, and softens the hand before it ever reaches you. The result is a fabric that reads as broken-in from day one while maintaining real structure and clarity in the weave. A darker, more understated expression of traditional herringbone twill that wears with the versatility of a great black denim but carries considerably more surface interest. Ultimately, we recommend you snag your true size in these and stretch them out; they just may feel a little smaller than a hardy heavy weight denim from the start.
