In thirteen years of doing this, we have never handled a fabric quite like this one. Faux suede has its roots in Japan, where mills worked out how to split polyester into filaments finer than silk and brush them up into a nap that reads like leather at a glance. The fabric on this coverall comes out of that lineage and then goes somewhere stranger. It looks like suede and behaves like a technical cloth, carrying a stiffness much closer to raw denim, so the jacket stands away from the body and holds its own lines rather than falling soft against you. That structure is the whole point here. It also shrugs off water and asks for none of the careful handling real suede demands, which makes it a jacket you can actually wear in weather. orSlow builds it on its coverall pattern with an A-line silhouette that widens as it falls, and the brand's own buttons and sleeve design handle the details that make it recognizable from across a room. Four rounded pockets break up the front, three of them patch pockets and one a flap pocket, with brass snaps running up the placket and an internal locker loop at the neck. Fit Notes: This jacket is definitely oversized, but not unreasonably. Tommy generally wears a (2) in most tops from the brand and decided to go that route with this coverall. The (2) was a pretty spectacular fit and seems to run a little more true than the canvas and denim coveralls. It's a slightly boxy, oversized fit, as a coverall should be, but still feels refined. We recommend you take your normal orSlow size in this one.
