## Description

"Esedra is an elegant mix of Swedish handcraft tradition and the skill, elegance, and knowledge of Poltrona Frau,” says designer Monica Förster of her beautifully crafted Esedra Pouf (2007). The Swedish designer based the ottoman’s circular form on woven-straw Lapp handicrafts from the Arctic Circle region where she grew up. Poltrona Frau’s artisans have adapted the plissé technique from Chesterfield sofas to carefully handstitch overlapping segments of leather or fabric radiating out from the center like a sunburst. Luxe materiality combines with precise workmanship to create this refined, versatile piece, which can serve as a seat, table, or footrest. Made in Italy.
