Condition:  Good Condition Size: 2XLMeasurements -  Pit-to-Pit: 27"Top to Bottom: 27.5"Shoulder to Shoulder: 23.5"Sleeve Outseam: 25"    Simons’ iconic “Riot, Riot, Riot” Fall/Winter 2001 collection was inspired by the infamous disappearance of Manic Street Preachers guitarist Richey Edwards. One of the most iconic images used was of Richey carving ‘4 REAL’ into his forearm following an argument with journalist Steve Lamacq in 1991. The act required hospitalization, seventeen stitches and turned Richey into an icon of self-harm. These images were sewn onto jacket sleeves, plastered onto the back of coats and printed on T-shirts. The collection had a heavy use of authentic military surplus. Instead of using the innocence of youth finding themselves through their respective subculture, Simons instead focused on the militant side of teenage rebellion—the moment a boy is “confronted with the horror of reality.” Many ‘Riot, Riot, Riot’ designs were based on retro thrift-store finds that were drastically reworked by Simons to give them a dramatic and somewhat aggressive edge. Camouflage bomber jackets were layered over long coats, whilst large hoods and scarves covered the models’ faces, obscuring their identities. This collection featured some of the most sought after pieces made by the designer. Including the famed camo bomber jacket featuring images of Edwards.
