## Summary

Luxury yellow gold watch featuring a rare orange-red carnelian dial with diamond-set markers, a fluted bezel, and a classic president link bracelet.

## Description

Carnelian is an orange-red chalcedony, and Rolex uses it on very few dials anywhere across the whole catalog. The stone is opaque rather than translucent, so it reads as one solid block of very warm color. Set against yellow gold that warmth simply doubles, and the diamond-set markers are the only cool element left. It is among the boldest dials the Day-Date has ever carried, and it was never anything close to a common order. The 36 mm case is Yellow Gold and the fluted bezel above it is in the same metal. A carnelian dial carries diamond-set hour markers in gold, with the Roman six and nine also set. The day sits in an aperture at twelve and the date at three, both with rapid-setting. The President bracelet is semi-circular three-piece links in Yellow Gold, closing on a concealed folding Crownclasp underneath them. This exceptional piece is not currently in stock due to its rarity on the market.
