The 19oz unsanforized selvedge has a uniquely irregular texture and rugged surface character that comes directly from the weight and tension of the weave, and one wash removes shrinkage without undercutting the raw, uncompromising feel of the cloth. The Super Wide fit runs with a high rise, roomy thigh, and extra wide leg that gives the weight of the fabric room to drape and move the way it should. The symbolism packed into the details is characteristically Samurai: copper rivets engraved with the katakana logo and "Shogyo Mujyo", the Buddhist phrase reflecting the impermanence of worldly things, jacquard pocket bags with the same woven motif, and a leather patch depicting the ancient Samurai duel that gave the brand its name.
