For our most colorful outerwear piece of the season, this particular variety of camo was the starting point... sometimes called 'Alpenflage' or 'pizza camo' by aficionados. But the material's pretty cool, too: a fantastic dry-waxed cotton from Scotland that won't rub off or transfer. And while looking cool is enough, it's got pockets to make it functional, as well. Our favorite one is the game pocket at the back, a feature borrowed from the old-school English hunting scene. A pocket like this was traditionally on the inside, at the back of the jacket (so poachers could sneak past gamekeepers with a pheasant or something stuffed in there.) Maybe you're an outdoorsman, but these days, we like the game pocket for something more like... a game? a notebook? a paperback? a wrapped present? a bag of chips? You'll figure something out. It'll be great.
