## Description

According to Tanuki, this denim has been heavily requested for years. By now, you've seen many variations of Kakishibu selvedge and it's almost always darker in nature - something closer to brown. Well, Kakishibu dyeing is an ancient natural dyeing process that uses the persimmon fruit to get its color. Persimmons are orange, not brown; you can clearly see that shade in this heavily saturated denim. We've been addicted to this dye since it came into our lives seven years ago. It adds a perfect warm base which makes for beautiful fading. We love that you can see the orange cast poking through the weave of the twill. And it looks even better when you flip the cuff.
