Details Our Triangle Bandana is a versatile accessory that can be worn as a neckerchief, head scarf, or purse accessory. The kit includes a top layer featuring a hand-painted design, along with scrap fabric* to be used as a backing layer for zero-waste reverse appliqué. This technique offers space for creative expression, as the location and color of each element is left up to the maker. The Triangle Bandana Kit is a great starter project and comes ready-to-sew with all fabric and thread you will need. All kits are made to order. Difficulty level: Beginner Measures approximately 32" in length along the top edge and 16” from the top edge to center front point Techniques: reverse appliqué Technique instructions not included; instructions can be found in Alabama Studio Sewing + Design Ships in 1 - 4 weeks *Note: scrap fabric colors are assorted. Follow the same instructions for reverse appliqué (pg. 95 of Alabama Studio Sewing + Design ), with a few tips and adjustments. - Make sure the scrap piece is large enough to cover the back of the area to be appliquéd. - Press fabric scraps, if needed, and pin securely in place behind the top layer. - After stitching around a shape and knotting off, trim away the backing fabric to leave a 1/4“ border. We recommend trimming immediately after finishing each shape, rather than waiting until all are complete. See the product image of the back view for reference.
