This antique Art Nouveau ruby and diamond dragonfly brooch was handcrafted in France around 1900. The glittery wings and winking eyes are made up of 28 rose cut diamonds, while the body is made of eight faceted deep pink rubies. All of the gemstones are silver set and backed in 18 karat gold. This piece is hallmarked with the French gold purity content mark of an eagle’s head. It has been acid tested. The overall measurements are 32.6 x 38.7 mm with a weight of 6.5 grams.
