The Misty Forest collection by Vonz came to be in 2021 during the pandemic, inspired by the founder Jeongeun Kang’s past travels throughout Korea. In particular, she recalled a drive towards Namyangju, looking out at the mountains in the distance and how they were covered by a blanket of faint fog – the exact moment that informs this highball. To recreate it, she utilises the Korean ottchil technique, where 30 thin layers of rhus tree-derived lacquer are applied to create a distinct watercolour effect.
