EVENING SONG is a composition for Winds and Percussion consisting of five sections, like five strophes of a song without words. In the last section the solo Trumpet enters with a second theme in dialogue with the main theme in the Woodwinds. The whole composition maintains a poetic mood of tranquil serenity.
