Bill Park uses this olde folk melody as a starting point for his clarinet trio, Hey, Derry Down. The piece beings with a homophonic accompaniment to the melody followed by an arpeggiated setting. The final presentation of the melody is in the form of a three-part round. All three players have a turn at the melody, but the accompanying parts are also essential and can be quite challenging.
