Scored for choir, brass and organ, Mass of the Eternal Flame was written in honour of Robert Simpson's 25th anniversary as Canon for Music of Christ Church Cathedral, Houston. It was premiered in Christ Church Cathedral in February 2023, with Eriks Esenvalds in attendance.
