Carl Reinecke (1824-1910), the German composer whose style was grounded in that of Mendelssohn and Schumann until he died, wrote his WIND SEXTET, Op. 271 in 1904 and is among his last works. The SEXTET is a standard wind quintet, but expanded with one additional horn to gain more volume of sound. Movements: I. Allegro moderato; II. Adagio molto; III. Allegro moderato. Reprint edition.
