Completed in 1951, Alan Shulman's Suite for Solo Cello was written for Frank Miller, then principal cellist of the NBC Symphony Orchestra. It consists of three contrasting movements. Recorded by Wesley Baldwin on Albany Records, TROY CD 1187.
